Presentation Night 2007

Andrew Bell, Andrew Jackson & The Mayor, Mr Bob WynnPresentation Night is one of the most anticipated events in the Durham City Golf Club calendar. Each year we are fortunate enough to be joined by the Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Durham, who hand out trophies and commemorative plaques to the competition winners. This year’s Mayor, Mr Bob Wynn certainly appeared to enjoy the proceedings. 
 
In an opening address to those present, Mr Wynn made reference to the contribution clubs such as Durham City make not only to the city itself but the surrounding community. He took particular delight in presenting trophies to the club’s junior section that in a very successful year won the DCJGS 5 Man Team Trophy. Individual success went to Danielle Brady who was awarded the Durham County Ladies’ Junior Player of the Year award along with several other trophies in a very successful season.
 
All in all with various county titles, league and cup winning teams and individual honours approximately 100 plaques were handed out. The prize presentations were then followed by the traditional filling of the trophies, which led to a celebratory atmosphere and a good night being had by all.
