Ladies News Nov 2009

It's a hectic year when you're Lady Captain and Pat Brown has had a busy but enjoyable one to say the least. The Ladies Section is on target to contribute over £1000 towards Club funds this year and that doesn't include any charity monies also raised.

The Ladies teams both finished in respectable mid-table positions but in a flourishing section one or two performances stand out.  Louise Richardson and Sandra Maxwell will represent the Club in the last 16 of the Daily Mail Foursomes at the Forest of Arden in mid October. This follows both Louise and Danielle Roseberry being selected to play for County Durham again this year.  Both players also represented the Club in the County Mixed Foursomes with Andy Bell and Graeme Marchbank.  Andy and Louise fell at the second hurdle whilst last year's losing finalists, Graeme and Danielle, sadly lost in the semi final this time.  Thank you to all those who have taken part both in the golf and fund raising efforts.
